Formed in 2016, St Andrew's Institute of Learning (SAIL) is a research and innovation unit that has quickly become a respected entity in educational circles.
The underlying focus of SAIL is to contribute to the local, national and global discussions on education while also offering ongoing professional learning to staff and the broader educational community.
Its contributions have been recognised through the Australian Educator Awards as twice winner of 'Best Co-Curricular Program' and numerous excellence awards. SAIL staff have regularly contributed to research papers, podcasts and conference presentations in Australia and overseas, highlighting the wonderful work of the wider team.
SAIL has positioned itself as a leading voice in future-focused education and a respected provider of professional development and resources to schools across the globe.

- Equip the St Andrew’s and wider educational community with knowledge and skills based on sound research;
- Support the implementation of a future-focused model of learning that promotes an outstanding educational experience;
- Foster a culture of courageous collaboration where ideas, expertise and resources are shared;
- Develop a local and global partner network that provides opportunities for staff, students and others to learn, grow and be challenged together; and
- Promote and track the growth of staff and student personal capacity, which includes the skill of cultural intelligence (CQ).
